Daytona Beach, FL — (Today’s Date)
Daytona Beach Christian University (DBCU) is proud to announce the hiring of Coach Mara Wiirre as the Head Women’s Volleyball Coach. Wiirre brings a dynamic blend of high-level playing experience, strong leadership, and a faith-centered coaching philosophy to the Seraphim athletic family.
A former NCAA Division II standout middle hitter, Wiirre enjoyed four successful collegiate seasons before transitioning into coaching at the high school, club, and collegiate levels. Her coaching style emphasizes positivity, athlete development, and spiritual mentorship—values deeply aligned with DBCU’s mission.
“We are blessed to welcome Coach Wiirre into our DBCU community,” said Athletic Director Andros Desir. “Her passion for volleyball, heart for ministry, and proven commitment to developing student-athletes make her the perfect leader for our women’s program. Her vision for faith-driven excellence is exactly what we want for Seraphim Athletics.”
