Seraphim Business Leaders Club (SBL)

The Seraphim Business Leaders Club is a vibrant, faith-integrated extracurricular club designed for students in the Bachelor of Christian Arts or Bachelor of Christian Science in Business Administration programs at Daytona Beach Christian University. Open to all Seraphim students pursuing business majors or concentrations (Business Administration, Entrepreneurship, Finance, International Business, or Marketing), the club creates a supportive community where members explore Christian business principles, develop leadership skills, build professional networks, and apply ethical decision-making to real-world challenges—all while growing personally, spiritually, and academically.

The club meets flexibly (e.g., bi-weekly evenings or virtual sessions) to accommodate busy schedules, focusing on practical, high-impact activities that align with DBCU’s mission and the program’s emphasis on core Christian business values. Members engage in:

  • Faith-Centered Discussions & Bible Studies — Monthly sessions exploring biblical principles of stewardship, integrity, ethical leadership, and work as worship, with direct applications to business scenarios and everyday life.
  • Guest Speaker Series & Mentorship — Invitations to Christian business professionals, entrepreneurs, alumni, and ministry leaders for talks on topics like ethical finance, kingdom-minded entrepreneurship, or integrating faith in corporate environments; paired with one-on-one mentorship for career guidance and personal development.
  • Skill-Building Workshops & Pitch Events — Hands-on sessions on resume building, personal branding, financial literacy, negotiation, startup ideation, or market analysis—culminating in low-pressure pitch nights where members present business ideas or innovative projects for feedback from peers and advisors.
  • Service & Outreach Projects — Collaborative initiatives with Aim High Ministries or local nonprofits, such as organizing business workshops for youth, fundraising events for community programs, or pro-bono consulting for small faith-based organizations—fulfilling service hours while practicing stewardship and teamwork.
  • Networking & Professional Development — Field trips to local businesses, virtual networking with Christian industry groups, and resume/portfolio reviews, helping members prepare for internships, post-graduation careers, or entrepreneurial pursuits.

The vision for the Seraphim Business Leaders Club is to empower students to become principled, innovative leaders who glorify God in the marketplace. By blending academic rigor with business acumen and faith, the club fosters lifelong habits of ethical excellence, collaborative spirit, and kingdom impact—equipping members to lead with integrity, serve others, and transform industries for good. Bachelor of Christian Business Administration Concentrations

The Bachelor of Christian Sports programs equip students with core principles of sports science, grounded in Christian values, to excel in diverse sports professions. Through specialized concentrations, students gain expertise, demonstrate professional conduct, and integrate faith into their careers, preparing for leadership in coaching, management, or advocacy.

Business Administration

The general Business Administration concentration provides a broad, versatile foundation in all core business disciplines—accounting, finance, marketing, operations, and management—preparing students for diverse entry-level roles or graduate study. Students gain a comprehensive understanding of how these areas interconnect to drive organizational success, with an emphasis on ethical decision-making and professional conduct. Through internships, case studies, and team projects, graduates are equipped to analyze business challenges, recommend practical solutions, and lead effectively in a variety of industries.

The Entrepreneurship concentration equips students with specialized knowledge and hands-on experience in launching and growing innovative ventures. Building on core business courses, students take advanced classes in innovation, new venture creation, business development, and entrepreneurial skills, culminating in participation in the Faith-Based Entrepreneurship Incubator (FBEI). Here, students develop and refine their own business concepts over multiple semesters, receiving mentorship from Christian entrepreneurs, pitching to investors, and applying real-world strategies. This concentration prepares graduates to start businesses, join startups, or drive innovation within established organizations—all with a commitment to ethical, values-driven leadership.

The International Business concentration prepares students to thrive in the global marketplace by building proficiency in cross-cultural business practices and international strategy. Students explore differences in business approaches across cultures, multinational operations, global trade, international finance, and market entry strategies. Coursework emphasizes cultural awareness, ethical global leadership, and practical application through case studies and projects. This concentration equips graduates for careers with multinational corporations, export/import firms, international NGOs, or global consulting—ready to navigate diverse economic and cultural contexts with competence and integrity.

The Finance concentration deepens students’ expertise in financial management, investment analysis, and risk assessment. Students expand on core business coursework to master topics such as financial portfolios, market dynamics, corporate valuation, financial risk management, and portfolio strategy. Through case studies, quantitative analysis, and applied projects, students develop the analytical skills needed to make sound financial decisions in complex environments. Graduates are prepared for roles in corporate finance, banking, investment management, or financial planning, bringing disciplined, principled approaches to resource stewardship.

The Marketing concentration provides advanced training in market research, consumer behavior, multi-channel communication, branding, and global market strategy. Students engage with real-life case studies to apply marketing principles effectively in dynamic business environments, mastering tools for digital marketing, advertising, public relations, and strategic promotion. The program emphasizes ethical communication, audience insight, and creative problem-solving. Graduates are prepared for roles in marketing management, brand strategy, digital media, market research, or sales leadership—capable of driving growth while upholding professional standards and values.
