DBCU Internship Application

Developing college-aged men and women to become disciple-making disciples who are passionate about leading others into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.

We are building a team of college-aged men and women who have a desire to grow as disciple-making disciples while serving on DBCU’s staff team.  This is a unique opportunity to serve as ministry leaders alongside other DBCU staff while being personally discipled by DBCU Directors.
All “U-Terns” will have a unique opportunity to help shape the ministry culture of “The U” by participating in weekly staff meetings and leading in various contexts of DBCU while being developed as leaders in the areas of personal evangelism and discipleship, Bible study methods, theology, and local church ministry.
The internship demands a 1 semester (15 weeks) and 10 HOURS A WEEK commitment for which each intern will be paid.  These paid hours entail responsibilities and opportunities in addition to normal leadership demands for volunteer student leaders.  Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

**Attending all Monday and Wednesday morning DBCU staff meetings.

**Assist in planning, executing, and attending all DBCU ministry-wide events (including, but not limited to, Engage, weekly Huddle Group, DBC Sunday Service, Men’s and Women’s events, Spring Break Trips (if Spring Internship), Retreats, etc.)

**Assist in day-to-day administrative tasks specific to each Intern position that help keep “The U” running like a well-oiled machine.

**Two-hours per week of personal discipleship from DBCU Directors.

**Other opportunities include interaction with DBC pastors and staff and exposure to ministry life “behind-the-scenes” at Denton Bible Church.

Our desire is to see a new generation of student-leaders come through the DBCU internship every year, equipped to make disciples of Jesus Christ during their time in college and beyond.
